Krista Young – My Story
Krista, while born in Florida, began her very early years living in different military bases. Being the daughter of an U.S. Army veteran laid down a foundation of pride, ownership, and accountability in all aspects of Krista’s life allowing her to set goals and achieve them.
Before joining Griffin Resources, Krista started her career at the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services as a part-time employee but quickly gained promotions through her determination and ability to learn every aspect she could. Seeing a flaw in employee training, Krista implemented a new training lesson that became utilized by every employee for recertification purposes. Krista advanced her Human Resource skills when she transitioned to the Florida Department of Corrections. There she was hands on in the development of a new recruiting effort that gained her recognition and changed the recruiting process for the entire department throughout the state. Krista also organized all the employee appreciation and holiday events for over 500 employees to bring unity and increase employee morale.
During her career, Krista obtained her Associates Degree in Business Administration and then her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management from Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL.
In her free time, Krista enjoys being by the water fishing and reading but as an avid sports enthusiast, you will most likely find her and her fiancé cheering on their two all-time favorite football and baseball players—their sons.
